Designed by Marina Skua in vintage 20 yarn.
Marina Skua designed the Pediment jumper in our own vintage 20 DK. The yarn is a unique blend of fibres from Shetland and Blue Faced Leicester sheep. Worsted spun, it’s perfect for next to skin projects, producing a deliciously soft, lustrous, and nicely elastic fabric with excellent stitch definition and lovely drape.
The addition of fawn Shetland fleeces to the blend creates a warm heathery natural base, the shade chosen by Marina in her original sample.
Each yarn bundle contains sufficient yarn to complete the Pediment jumper in your chosen size and colour.
The pattern is sold separately and can be purchased on Ravelry or directly on Marina Skua’s website.
The Pediment jumper has a simple drop-shoulder silhouette; mostly stockinette, with a wedge-shaped section of moss stitch at each side coming up from the hem. It is worked from the bottom up in the round, then separated for the front and back at the armholes. Both the back and front neck are shaped and finished with a double neckband that’s folded over and stitched down. The sleeves are picked up and worked in the round from the top down, with decreases to shape them along the length.
